Latino actors and industry leaders reunited to honor and celebrate the achievements of their fellow entertainment collaborators, creating a night filled with camaraderie, recognition, and support for Ibero-American talent. Here are five standout moments from the evening:
#1 Star-Studded Attendance
The event welcomed a host of prominent industry figures, including Stephanie Cayo, Rafa Cebrián, Reynaldo Pacheco, Sebastián Zurita, Anele Onyekwere, and Rafael de la Fuente. Additionally, actresses from the award-winning film Aún Estoy Aquí—Valentina Herszage, Pri Helena, and Luiza Kosovski—were among the notable guests.
#2 Attendees Applauded Historic Wins for Chile, Brazil and Emilia Pérez
Brazil’s Aún Estoy Aquí made history by winning the Oscar for Best International Feature Film, while María, a Chilean film, took home the award for Best Cinematography, further cementing the technical excellence of the region’s filmmaking industry. These victories were met with cheers and applause from the attendees. Additionally, Emilia Pérez wins for Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña and Best Original Song for “El Mal” raised the energy, whistling and applauses at the Telefèric Barcelona space in Los Angeles.
#3 Honoring the Los Angeles Fire Department
This year, EGEDA US paid tribute to the heroism of the Los Angeles Fire Department for their brave efforts during the January 2025 wildfires. Attendees were encouraged to contribute to the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund and the Wildfire Assistance Fund (@givetoahero), ensuring 100% of the donations went directly to affected families.
#4 Gathering of Industry Leaders with Spanish Delicatessens
More than 800 professionals from the audiovisual industry came together to celebrate, connect, and recognize the impact of Ibero-American talent on the international stage while enjoying paella, tapas, churros, gazpacho and other traditional dishes from the Iberian peninsula.
#5 Dancing the Night Away!
After the Oscars ended, Latino celebrities and attendees danced for hours, joyfully celebrating the night’s achievements and historic wins.
