This past Saturday, May 31, Dominican-born and Regional Mexican rising artist Jocsan Durán marked a significant milestone in his musical journey with the heartfelt release of his debut EP, Humilde. The launch event, held at a local Florida venue, was more than just a musical performance, it was a moving tribute to heritage, family, and perseverance.

A LOCAL STAGE, A GLOBAL DREAM

Known for infusing raw emotion and storytelling into Regional Mexican sounds, Jocsan captivated attendees with a night that honored his cultural roots and personal journey. A standout moment came when he dedicated a special tribute to his mother, his greatest supporter, recognizing her unwavering encouragement and sacrifice in helping him pursue his artistic dreams.

Prior to his live performance, fans were treated to the premiere of Live from Tijuana, a video recap of Jocsan’s electrifying February performance at República Malta. Accompanied by an acoustic ensemble of regional musicians, including a bandolín, bajo quinto, and guitar. The show featured fan favorites like Ciclo, Humilde, El Patrón, Conversación con la luna and the unique cover of Juan Luis Guerra’s Bachata Rosa with Traditional Mexican rhythms.

The evening also marked the official release of his full-length album, Humilde, now streaming on Spotify and major platforms, and introduced his newest single, Lo que nunca pasó.

With strong backing from distribution label Altafonte USA and Visión Music Agency, Jocsan is preparing for a West Coast tour that will bring his heartfelt sound and humble message to Regional Mexican fans across the U.S. and beyond.
