Mexican singer-songwriter Siddhartha has officially entered a new musical era with the release of his latest single, “Tú y Yo y Tú”, unveiled on September 11. The track marks the first glimpse into his forthcoming studio album, slated for 2026, and introduces listeners to a vibrant blend of Latin rhythms, flamenco, and Mexican folk elements wrapped in his signature indie-rock universe.

“TÚ Y YO Y TÚ” COMES TO LIFE IN A MUSIC VIDEO WHERE SIDDHARTHA AND HIS WIFE YUYA REIMAGINE THEIR LOVE STORY ON COLIMA’S BLACK-SAND SHORES

The first single “Tú y Yo y Tú” is a sensual, nocturnal track that captures the spark of first encounters between two people. Its warmth and rhythmic sway feel tailor-made for a late-night dance by the ocean.

The official music video, filmed in Colima’s black-sand beaches of Cuyutlán, adds an intimate dimension with the rare on-screen appearance of Siddhartha’s wife, Yuya, one of Latin America’s most influential social media figures. Through a mix of present-day imagery and teenage flashbacks, the video traces the couple’s love story as if destined by fate.

FROM STUDIO 5020 TO UNÍSONO: THE STORY OF HOW SIDDHARTHA RECORDED HIS MOST EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC YET

After the success of 00:00 and the celebrated EP Miel de Azar, Siddhartha is now venturing into what he describes as “routes and places I had never explored before.” Recorded across Madrid, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and Buenos Aires, including sessions at Gustavo Cerati’s iconic Unísono studio, the album promises to be his most experimental project yet.

He has teamed up with producers Didi Gutman, Alejandro Pérez, and Rul Velázquez, building a sound that is both experimental and deeply personal.

“Some songs have flamenco, bolero notes, cumbia, and Mexican music sounds—but all inside my universe, in my nature,” the artist explained during a virtual red carpet with fans. He also shared that much of the writing process came from intuition rather than planning: “I take the microphone and the themes flow as I transmit them in real time.”

In a voice note to fans, Siddhartha hinted at what’s next: “I’m very excited about sharing new music with you as it will be the perfect excuse to see us soon!”

While his next full tour won’t begin until mid-2026, he plans to preview new material at select festivals. Two more singles: Abrázame in November and Escápate early next year, are already on the horizon, each serving as a stepping stone toward the full album release next year.

With “Tú y Yo y Tú”, Siddhartha reaffirms his gift for weaving intimacy, emotion, and experimentation into a sound that feels both personal and universal. As fans step into this new cycle with him, it’s clear that the journey toward his 2026 album will be one of the most defining chapters in his career.
