November 21 brings a fresh wave of music across genres, from Mexican rap to Latin pop, holiday vibes, and psychedelic cumbia. Here’s what’s making waves this week:

Simpson Ahuevo – Máster del Noro
Simpson Ahuevo, one of the most authentic voices in Mexican rap and a proud native of Hermosillo, Sonora, marks a major milestone in his career. The rapper took over an iconic Times Square screen in New York to launch his latest single, “El Gabacho” ft. Go Golden Junk & Robot 95, the lead track from his highly anticipated album Máster del Noro. The song reflects Simpson’s northern Mexican roots while pushing toward a global sound. Directed by Hermann Neudert and produced by Neuderts, the music video drops today across all digital platforms, signaling a new chapter in Simpson’s ever-evolving career.

Alejandro Sanz – ¿Y Ahora Qué +?

Latin music legend Alejandro Sanz follows his record-breaking Latin GRAMMY-winning EP with a full-length album, ¿Y Ahora Qué +?. This release solidifies Sanz as the most-awarded Spanish artist in history, boasting 24 Latin GRAMMYs and 4 GRAMMYs. The album features collaborations with Emilia, Carin León, Elena Rose, and Rels B, and includes standout tracks like “No me tires flores,” “Mil Motivos,” “La Cita,” and “Rimowa.” The focus track, “Las Guapas,” premiered live at the Latin GRAMMYs and comes with a visually striking video. Rooted in Sanz’s signature flamenco-infused, love-driven sound, the album reflects both a creative and emotional rebirth for the iconic singer.

Fabio Capri – Llegó Navidad

Holiday cheer arrives early this year with Fabio Capri’s first seasonal EP, Llegó Navidad. Across six tracks, Capri reinvents classics like “Feliz Navidad,” “Navidad Sin Ti,” and “Last Christmas” with his signature style and a modern twist. The standout track, “Navidad sin Ti,” offers a heartfelt cover of Los Bukis’ classic, blending corrido/pop tumbado elements with the warmth of the original. Each track comes with a visualizer, adding a festive and immersive layer to the holiday music experience.

Codiciado & Carin León – Déjame Dormir
In an unexpected collaboration, Codiciado and Carin León deliver the romantic break-up anthem “Déjame Dormir.” The track combines emotional lyrics with both artists’ distinctive styles, resulting in a fresh take on contemporary regional music.

Maria Becerra — Quimera

In this new project, her third studio album, the Argentine artist explores different alter egos that embody emotions, styles, and unique universes, building an artistic narrative that she has already begun to unfold in her previous releases. In Greek mythology, there is a hybrid monster made up of parts of different animals: lion, goat, and dragon/serpent. Each character is a distinct part, but together they create something unique: a hybrid being, powerful and unrepeatable. The beast as a fragmented identity: María is all and none. Impossible to classify.

Cancamusa — Tengo una carta (Alternative / Indie Pop)

“Tengo una carta” is the new song from Cancamusa and the first preview of the Deluxe edition of her latest album, Dopamina. The track continues the emotional universe of the album, extending its narrative through a story where fire, ashes, and memory intertwine.

The song portrays the act of writing a letter that never reaches its destination, an intimate gesture suspended between farewell and hope, where Cancamusa transforms pain into a form of rebirth.

The release of Tengo una carta will be accompanied by the music video for “Cicatriz,” reinforcing the visual and emotional connection of the Dopamina universe. The mix was handled by Jonathan Castelli, known for his work with artists such as Billie Eilish.

Produced by Sinclavi and Cancamusa.

Baskiat — Mi Casa

Baskiat, one of the most promising emerging figures in the Venezuelan music scene, arrives in Mexico with his new single “Mi Casa,” part of his upcoming album Koppa, set to release on October 16, 2025. César Betancourt, better known as Baskiat, combines academic training in international orchestras with a meteoric rise as a contemporary producer and songwriter, now aiming to expand his influence in the Latin music market.

“Mi Casa” was literally born in the artist’s home and reflects the vulnerability of not wanting to leave that safe place behind, whether it’s a home or a relationship. Musically, it offers a fresh and ironic twist: a melancholic Brazilian funk designed to sound intimate and sentimental.

Koppa takes its name from the Greek letter “Ϙ,” a symbol Baskiat uses to define his identity as an artist. While inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, he distinguishes himself while paying homage through his name. The album aims to heal, celebrate lived experiences, and remind listeners that there are always new opportunities to feel beautiful again, conveying the color and expressive energy that defines his music.

The Animeros – Ponchote de Ritmo

The Animeros—Nick Tozzo (drums), Nicolas Sanchez (bass), and Mauro Lopez (guitar)—transport listeners with “Ponchote de Ritmo,” a genre-defying track inspired by South American cumbia psicodélica and chicha of the 60s and 70s, coastal Mexico, and West Texas cantinas. Mauro Lopez explains that the track was designed to leave space for live performance energy, making each rendition a unique experience while staying true to the psychedelic cumbia tradition.

From rap to Latin pop, festive vibes to psychedelic cumbia, November 21’s releases offer something for every music fan. Whether it’s Simpson Ahuevo taking over Times Square or Alejandro Sanz redefining his iconic sound, this week proves that Latin music continues to evolve and inspire on a global scale.
