Fuerza Regida officially kicked off its highly anticipated This Is Our Dream Stadium Tour 2026 with a historic sold-out performance at Petco Park in San Diego, drawing approximately 45,000 fans and marking the group’s first-ever stadium show in the United States. The nearly three-hour spectacle showcased the evolution of the band’s career while reaffirming its status as one of the most influential acts in Regional Mexican music.
From the opening moments, frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz, better known as JOP, delivered one of the evening’s most talked-about surprises. Appearing above the Petco Park scoreboard, the singer paid tribute to Michael Jackson with an outfit inspired by the King of Pop and recreated several of the legendary performer’s signature poses and dance moves, setting the tone for an unforgettable opening night. Fans quickly dubbed the moment “JOP Jackson” across social media, celebrating the fusion of pop iconography with Fuerza Regida’s unmistakable style.

When JOP stepped onto the stage at Fuerza Regida’s first-ever stadium concert in San Diego, fans immediately noticed something familiar: the dramatic entrance, the commanding silhouette, and wardrobe elements seemingly inspired by Michael Jackson’s legendary stage persona.
For an artist who has helped redefine Regional Mexican music for a new generation, the homage felt intentional. It wasn’t simply nostalgia for one of pop music’s most influential entertainers, it was a statement about scale, ambition, and the evolution of a genre that now commands stadiums, global audiences, and pop culture conversations.

Throughout the night, the group revisited every chapter of its musical journey, performing fan favorites that have defined their rise over the years. Their stage production also reflected the band’s growing influence beyond music, with fashion playing a central role in the show. During the performance of “Por Esos Ojos,” Fuerza Regida transformed the stage into a runway presentation in collaboration with KidSuper, prompting the group to proclaim on social media, “We brought Paris Fashion Week to California.”
Special guests elevated the inaugural date even further. Calle 24 joined the group onstage, while WWE legend Rey Mysterio received one of the loudest ovations of the evening. Embracing the energy surrounding the FIFA World Cup currently taking place across North America, the San Diego native energized the crowd with a celebratory “¡Arriba San Diego, arriba México!” before sharing the moment with JOP.

Electronic music superstar Marshmello made a surprise appearance during “Harley Quinn,” blending two worlds that have increasingly intersected in recent years. Meanwhile, Chuyin joined Fuerza Regida for an emotional rendition of “Pues Ya Ni Pedo,” adding another memorable chapter to an evening packed with unexpected collaborations.
More than just a concert, the opening night of This Is Our Dream Stadium Tour 2026 demonstrated the scale that Fuerza Regida has reached. Through music, fashion, and a production inspired by global entertainment icons, the band delivered a statement performance that celebrated its past while embracing a new era.
With San Diego serving as the first stop of the tour, Fuerza Regida set a high standard for the remaining dates, proving that the group’s dream—and the movement surrounding Regional Mexican music continues to reach unprecedented heights.
