After more than three decades of defining the sound of Regional Mexican music, the wait is finally over. Intocable will receive one of entertainment’s highest honors on Thursday, July 16, when the legendary Mexican-American group is awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognizing a career that has transformed Latin music and inspired generations of fans around the world.

The ceremony will take place tomorrow 11:30 a.m. PT at 7083 Hollywood Boulevard, with television personality Jessica Maldonado serving as master of ceremonies. Award-winning songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera and Nir Seroussi, President of Interscope and Capitol Miami, will join as guest speakers in celebration of one of the most influential bands in Latin music history.

A STAR DECADES IN THE MAKING

“For more than three decades, Intocable has helped shape the sound and global reach of Regional Mexican music through their artistry, authenticity, and enduring connection with audiences,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “The Hollywood Walk of Fame is proud to recognize their extraordinary contributions to the recording industry with this well-deserved honor.”

In the days leading up to the ceremony, the band reflected on the significance of the moment through a series of heartfelt messages to fans.

They also celebrated the milestones that paved their path to Hollywood, including their 21 Billboard Regional Mexican Airplay No. 1 hits, multiple GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Awards, and countless career-defining moments.

FROM ANTOLOGÍA TO CULTURA

With more than 55 million albums sold, over 50 Billboard chart entries, multiple GRAMMY® Awards, Latin GRAMMY® Awards, Billboard honors, and Lifetime Achievement recognitions, Intocable has become one of the most successful and influential acts in Regional Mexican music.

Their signature fusion of Tejano, Norteño, pop, rock, and cumbia helped redefine the genre while creating a sound uniquely their own—one that continues to resonate across generations and cultures.

In 2024, the band celebrated its 30th anniversary with the release of Modus Operandi, nominated for Best Norteño Album at the Latin GRAMMY® Awards. The accompanying anniversary tour sold out venues throughout North America, while the single “Me Gusta Mi Vida” became the group’s 21st No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, making Intocable the artist with the second-most No. 1 songs in the chart’s history.

Now, Intocable is writing its next chapter with the Cultura Tour 2026, a 24-city trek across the United States, Canada, and Mexico celebrating the band’s enduring impact as pioneers of modern Mexican music. More than a concert tour, Cultura honors the group’s role as a cultural bridge connecting millions of Latinos through music, identity, and tradition.

MORE THAN A STAR, A MILESTONE FOR LATIN MUSIC

As Intocable takes its place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the honor represents far more than a star embedded in the sidewalk. It recognizes a band that has spent more than three decades crossing borders through music, uniting audiences in the United States, Mexico, and beyond while proudly representing the Mexican-American experience. Their songs have become part of the soundtrack of generations, proving that Regional Mexican music belongs on the world’s biggest stages.

Their induction also carries special significance for the Latino community. While Latino artists have made immeasurable contributions to the entertainment industry, they remain underrepresented on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Intocable’s star joins a select group of Latin music icons whose achievements have been recognized on one of entertainment’s most prestigious landmarks, marking another important step toward greater visibility for Regional Mexican music and Latino artists in popular culture.

For Intocable, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is not simply the celebration of an extraordinary career—it is a symbol of perseverance, cultural pride, and the power of music to transcend languages, genres, and borders. It is a victory shared with the millions of fans who have walked alongside them on the journey to this historic moment.
