Some songs continue to find new ways to connect and tell their stories through different voices. That is the case with “A La Niña Que Fui,” one of the most meaningful songs from Kany García’s acclaimed album Puerta Abierta, which now enters a new chapter with a special version featuring three of Spain’s most compelling voices: La Húngara, Marina Carmona, and Lucía Fernanda.

This new interpretation was born naturally during Kany García’s visit to Spain as part of the European leg of her successful Puerta Abierta Tour. Between concerts and creative encounters, Madrid became the perfect setting for a collaboration built on admiration, respect, and a shared understanding of music as a vehicle for honesty and emotion.

The result is an intimate and powerful rendition of “A La Niña Que Fui,” where each voice brings new nuances to a song about self-reflection, healing, and embracing the younger version of ourselves that continues to shape who we are.

The release arrives during a significant moment in Kany García’s career. In recent weeks, “A La Niña Que Fui” received Gold certifications in the United States and Colombia, while the live version recorded during her historic performance at Santo Domingo’s Estadio Quisqueya continues to resonate with fans.

With seven Latin GRAMMY® awards, more than two decades of artistic evolution, and a catalog that continues to transcend generations and borders, Kany García continues to reaffirm her place as one of Latin music’s most respected singer-songwriters.
