PIPE BUENO AND MAJO AGUILAR REIMAGINE CARLOS VIVES’ LEGACY IN MARIACHI STYLE

The singer-songwriter Pipe Bueno and Mexican singer Majo Aguilar pay tribute to Carlos Vives in their new collaboration “Bailar Contigo.” This mariachi version celebrates the musical richness of Majo, granddaughter of the iconic Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, while Pipe honors his Colombian roots by celebrating the melodies of Carlos Vives in a new format.
The song is accompanied by the celebrated Mariachi Sol de México, a group that has been sharing its sound with great composers for more than four decades, and now they come together at the beginning of the highly anticipated EP by Pipe Bueno, “Homenaje a Carlos Vives.”
“For me, paying tribute to the greatest in Colombian music through mariachi has been a wonderful and enriching experience. Being able to bring ‘Bailar Contigo’ to these deep, historically rich melodies, giving them a new identity through mariachi, has been an immense joy. And sharing it with Majo Aguilar has been beautiful,” says Pipe Bueno.
This project represents an unprecedented musical journey in Pipe Bueno’s career, as he finds in mariachi the perfect language to reinterpret the songs that have defined generations.
CUCO DROPS VIBRANT NEW SINGLE “PHASES” AHEAD OF UPCOMING ALBUM RIDIN’

This week, the singer-songwriter Omar Banos, better known as Cuco, released a new single from his highly anticipated album Ridin’.
