The Latin Recording Academy has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, showcasing the wide-ranging creativity and impact of Latin music today.
Record of the Year is led by heavyweights and innovators alike. Bad Bunny secures two nominations with Baile Inolvidable and DTmF, while Karol G captures hearts with Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido. Natalia Lafourcade returns with the poetic Cancionera, and Alejandro Sanz is recognized for Palmeras En El Jardín. Jorge Drexler, collaborating with Conociendo Rusia, adds depth with Desastres Fabulosos, while Zoe Gotusso shines with Lara. Rising duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso make a bold statement with two nods for El Día Del Amigo and #Tetas.
On the Album of the Year front, diversity takes center stage. Nominations include Rauw Alejandro (Cosa Nuestra), Bad Bunny (DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS), CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso (Papota), Gloria Estefan (Raíces), Carín León (Palabra De To’s [Seca]), Natalia Lafourcade (Cancionera), Joaquina (Al Romper la Burbuja), and Vicente García (Puñito De Yocahú).
The Pop categories highlight both contemporary and traditional excellence. Aitana’s Best Contemporary Pop Album nod is joined by Elsa y Elmar (Palacio), while Best Traditional Pop Album nominees include Andrés Cepeda (Bogotá), Zoe Gotusso (Cursi), Jesse & Joy (Lo Que Nos Faltó Decir), Natalia Lafourcade (Live at Carnegie Hall), Elena Rose (En Las Nubes – Con Mis Panas), and Alejandro Sanz (¿Y Ahora Qué?).
Meanwhile, the Best Latin Electronic Music Performance category celebrates a new wave of experimentation, with nominees including Boza, Elena Rose & Sistek, Imanbek & Taichu, Ela Minus, Mr. Pauer, Villa Electronika & DJ Polin, and Rawayana featuring Akapellah.
In the Alternative music categories, Latin Mafia emerges as one of the most exciting forces to watch, solidifying their status as leaders of a new wave in Latin alternative sounds. Their album Todos los Días Todo el Día earned a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album, standing alongside genre-shaping acts like CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and Judeline. But their impact doesn’t stop there — with Siento Que Merezco Más vying for Best Alternative Song, the trio brings their fresh fusion of R&B, soul, and urban textures into the spotlight, redefining what Latin alternative can be. With these nominations, Latin Mafia not only cements their rise but also signals a generational shift where bold experimentation and emotional storytelling take center stage.

In the Regional Mexican music categories, this year’s Latin Grammy nominations shine a spotlight on two powerhouse voices who have been redefining the genre for a new generation. Carín León leads with Palabra De To’s (Seca), an album that has quickly become a fan favorite in the Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album category, while also securing multiple nods in Best Regional Song thanks to his collaborations with Maluma and Kakalo. On the other hand, Lupita Infante carries forward the weight of her legendary musical heritage while carving her own path, earning a coveted nomination for ¿Seguimos o No?, a heartfelt track that highlights her strength as a songwriter and interpreter. With León’s innovative sound and Infante’s authenticity, both stand out as frontrunners, embodying the rich evolution and timeless soul of regional Mexican music.
